Family Day Care Contract & Service Agreement

We encourage families to review our service agreement. This document outlines important information about care, policies, fees, and expectations to support a safe, consistent, and respectful environment for every child. Registered with Kentish Family Day Care.

1. Enrolment and Probation
  • I / We wish to enrol my / our child(ren) at Flying Start Family Daycare.
  • I / We understand Flying Start Family Daycare operates independently and is registered with Kentish Family Day Care.
  • I / We have received, read, and agree to follow the Kentish Parent Handbook.
  • I / We understand that a four-week probation period applies during which the child’s adjustment will be observed. Care may be ceased during this period for any justifiable reason with 24 hours’ notice.
2. Hours of Care and Rates
  • I / We acknowledge that care may occur across standard and non-standard hours, subject to prior arrangement and availability.
  • I / We agree to the rates listed above.
  • I / We understand the minimum booking charge is 8 hours per child, per day, regardless of actual attendance duration.
  • Full fees apply for public holidays that fall on a child’s regular booked care day and for any absences, regardless of reason.
Please note:

In order to ensure the continued provision of high-quality care while meeting operational costs, an increase may be applied when necessary, in line with CPI adjustments. Any such changes will be communicated with a minimum of two weeks’ written notice.

3. Payment Terms
  • I / We agree to provide payment details for weekly direct debit via RedPAY (sent once online enrolment has been completed).
  • I / We agree to pay two weeks in advance before enrolment starts.
  • I / We understand that once enrolment has been completed and a direct debit has been successfully established, a non-timesheet will be generated and a $200 holding fee will be processed for each child being enrolled.
  • I / We understand the holding fee will be applied to the final week of care when care is terminated.
  • I / We understand the holding fee may be paid in four instalments of $50 if the full amount cannot be paid at the time of enrolment.
  • I / We understand failure to pay on time may result in reminder notices and termination of enrolment.
  • RedPAY will apply an $8.00 dishonour fee for any failed transactions due to insufficient funds in the nominated bank account. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring adequate funds are available at the time of scheduled payments.
  • I / We agree to pay all fees for the final two weeks of care.
  • Child Care Subsidy (CCS): Families may be eligible for CCS through Services Australia. CCS eligibility and entitlements are determined by the Australian Government, and parents/guardians remain responsible for any gap fees not covered by CCS.
  • Allowable absences: CCS allowable absences may apply in accordance with Australian Government guidelines. Fees may still apply for booked care days whether the child attends or not.
4. Changes and Withdrawals
  • I / We agree to provide two weeks’ written notice for changes in contracted hours (subject to availability).
  • I / We agree to provide two weeks’ written notice for withdrawal from care.
  • If proper notice is not given, I / We agree to pay for the final two weeks of care regardless of attendance.
  • I / We understand CCS may not apply if my / our child(ren) does not attend the final scheduled day.
5. Health and Wellbeing
  • I / We agree not to bring my / our child(ren) to care when sick or showing symptoms of an infectious condition.
  • I / We understand Ladawan Khunsri may request medical clearance before return to care.
  • I / We are responsible for keeping immunisation records current.
  • Emergency / incident management: In the event of an emergency, illness, injury, or serious incident, the educator will take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the child(ren) and notify the parent/guardian as soon as practicable. Actions will be documented in accordance with regulatory and Kentish Family Day Care requirements.
6. Daily Needs and Supplies
  • I / We understand Flying Start Family Daycare may provide snacks limited to fruit.
  • I / We will provide: nappies and formula/milk where required; sun hat, sunscreen, insect repellent; food (meals and snacks); water bottle, shoes, and spare clothing.
7. Excursions and Activities
  • I / We understand planned excursions may affect daily routines.
  • I / We understand schedules may change where necessary.
  • I / We understand additional costs may apply for excursions.
  • Transport consent: I / We give consent for my / our child(ren) to travel in a motor vehicle operated by the educator where required for excursions or service activities, in accordance with regulatory requirements and approved risk assessments.
8. Communication and Complaints
  • I / We have informed the educator of any known behavioural or medical considerations.
  • I / We agree to first raise concerns directly with the educator. If unresolved, I / We may escalate concerns to Kentish Family Day Care and follow the scheme complaints process where required.
9. Additional Terms
  • I / We understand failure to follow policies may result in termination of care.
  • Contracts will be reviewed periodically (and at least annually, or earlier if regulatory/policy changes occur).
  • Families will be notified where the educator is unavailable due to illness.
  • The educator is entitled to 4 weeks (20 days) annual leave with reasonable notice.
  • This agreement may be reviewed at any time by either party.
  • Privacy: Personal information collected through enrolment or service agreements is used to provide care and meet regulatory obligations. Information may be shared with Kentish Family Day Care where required.
  • Digital acknowledgement: Digital signatures and submissions completed via the Flying Start Family Daycare website are accepted as valid acknowledgement of this agreement by the parent/guardian.
